  • Received the Outstanding Counseling Institution Award from the National University Student Counseling Center Association in 2022.

  • Kwangju Women’s University received the Grand Prize at the Korea Character and Citizenship Education Awards.

  • Kwangju Women’s University hosted the 5th Presidents’ Council Meeting of Universities in the Gwangju and Jeonnam Region in 2022.

  • The 24th Student Council held the 2022 Fall Cultural Event.

  • Achieved outstanding results at the 103rd National Sports Festival in 2022, including championships in the archery team event, individual event, and mixed team event.

  • Held a regional university joint employment camp to promote employment.

  • Operated the “International Student Cultural Exchange Booth.”

  • Held the 2022 Songgang Festival of Kwangju Women’s University.

  • Won first place in the team event at the 25th Korea University Archery Championship.

  • Kwangju Women’s University and Chosun University signed a memorandum of understanding between teacher training institutions.

  • The Support Center for Students with Disabilities carried out a social integration support project in cooperation with the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.

  • Conducted AI utilization education to enhance understanding of artificial intelligence.

  • Operated an archery sports-for-all support program for underserved groups in the local community.

  • Won the women’s university team event and achieved runner-up in the individual event at the 40th Presidential National Men’s and Women’s Archery Tournament.

  • Selected for the Honam Korean Studies Academic Lecture Support Project organized by the Institute for the Promotion of Korean Studies in the Honam Region.

  • Conducted education on compliance with safety rules for personal mobility devices in cooperation with local governments.

  • Archery athlete An San received the 2021 Female Athlete of the Year Award selected by World Archery.

  • Nine universities, including Kwangju Women’s University, joined together to establish the “Rehabilitation, Health, and Welfare Joint Education Network.”

  • The KWU Regional Innovation Platform Project Group awarded regional innovation scholarships to 50 enrolled students.

  • The Community MAUM Cooperation Center was selected for a support project for a university-community-linked media literacy program.

  • Held the 30th anniversary ceremony of the university’s founding with the metaverse.

  • The CS Workforce Training Center of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was selected as an implementing institution for the “2022 Regional Customer Center Revitalization Support Project.”

  • Selected as an accredited university under the Ministry of Education’s International Education Quality Assurance System for the fifth consecutive year.

  • Conducted community service activities with triple archery gold medalist An San and the 24th Student Council.

  • Signed an agreement with the Gwangju Veterans Service Center of the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

  • The Department of Elementary Special Education was selected as an Outstanding Teacher Training Institution.

  • Conducted “Community MAUM Sharing Volunteer Service with Kwangju Women’s University.”

  • The MAUM Education Institute successfully held the 1st MAUM Education Conference.

  • The Department of Early Childhood Education received a commendation from the Minister of Education as an Outstanding Teacher Training Institution.

  • The Teacher Education Program Center received a commendation from the Minister of Education following its selection as an Outstanding Teacher Training Institution in the teacher education division, teacher education program, and graduate school of education.

  • Professor Park Kyung-sook was appointed as the new Artistic Director of the Gwangju City Ballet.

  • The 2022 online New Year Opening Ceremony of Songgang Educational Foundation and Kwangju Women’s University was held.
