  • Held the archery experiential learning program with athlete An San, “Shoot toward the World! Ten Ten Ten Archery.”

  • An San of Kwangju Women’s University Archery Team was appointed as Gwangju City’s first honorary ambassador.

  • Held a welcoming ceremony and press conference for An San, triple archery gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

  • An San swept all archery events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, achieving the historic feat of becoming the first triple gold medalist.

  • An San won her second gold medal in the women’s team archery event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

  • An San won her first gold medal in the mixed team archery event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

  • President Lee Sun-jae participated in the “Go Go Challenge” campaign to reduce plastic use.

  • The University Job Center signed a memorandum of understanding with Gwangju Citizens’ Broadcasting and established employment support media infrastructure.

  • President Lee Sun-jae and national archery team member An San held a meeting to commemorate her qualification for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

  • Held the 2021 “Beautiful Companionship with the President and Students with Disabilities.”

  • President Lee Sun-jae of Kwangju Women’s University received a plaque of merit from the Korea Archery Association.

  • Selected as an accredited university under the Ministry of Education’s International Education Quality Assurance System for the fourth consecutive year.

  • The Support Center for Students with Disabilities was selected as an excellent university for the second consecutive time in the “2020 Evaluation of Educational Welfare Support for Students with Disabilities.”

  • The Education Performance Management Center awarded approximately KRW 200 million in scholarships for participation in extracurricular activities.

  • The Department of Nursing obtained “five-year accreditation” in the nursing education accreditation evaluation.
