Introduction to the Division
The Division of Airline Service aims to cultivate competent talents in the aviation, hotel, and tourism fields by providing practical education using various educational contents in order to train differentiated professionals in the fields of airline service and hotel tourism. In the Airline Service Major, students may advance into fields such as airline cabin crew, airport operations, and ground staff. In the Hotel Tourism Major, students may advance into leisure industry fields such as domestic and overseas hotels, resorts, and travel agencies, and work as “service professionals.”

Safety Area

BLS General Course Completion Certificate This is a standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation education program of the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, through which the general public can learn CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator, AED.

Martial Arts-Related Certification, Nationally Certified Hapkido Students can develop the ability to maintain in-flight safety and order in situations that have recently occurred frequently on aircraft, such as smoking, intoxicated passengers, and disturbances, as well as the ability to protect themselves and their colleagues.

Sports Taping Manager Level 2 Musculoskeletal abnormalities in daily life include symptoms such as turtle neck syndrome, rounded back, lower back pain, and knee joint pain. Taping is one of the most necessary therapies at home and in the workplace, as it helps reduce pain, activate natural healing, prevent secondary injuries, provide emergency treatment and rehabilitation after injury, strengthen muscles, and manage body shape. This course aims to help students learn taping therapy, which is easy to learn, simple, and has no side effects, and apply it in daily life.

Wine Sommelier This certification is a private certification officially registered with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training. It includes two types: a general sommelier certification and an airline sommelier certification specialized in in-flight wine service. Flight attendant sommeliers with internationally recognized qualifications guide students toward becoming wine experts through their rich experience and systematic knowledge.

Bartender Craftsman Certification A bartender craftsman is a certification for professionally making cocktails with various flavors and aromas by mixing different alcoholic beverages with spices, fruits, cream, and other ingredients. The bartender craftsman certification system was established to cultivate professionals with skilled techniques in bartending who can perform duties related to bartending work, as cocktail ingredients and preparation methods have become more diverse.

Personal Color Expert Certification This is a color specialist certification administered by the Korea Color Industry Professionals Association. There are three levels of qualification: PCS-Coordinator Level 2, PCS-Consultant Level 1, and PCS-Master Professional Instructor. The Personal Color Expert Certification aims to cultivate professionals who wish to learn specialized color therapy courses for self-development. It is a qualification for diagnosing an individual’s skin type and performing image making according to the four seasonal categories: spring warm tone, summer cool tone, autumn warm tone, and winter cool tone.

Barista The barista certification examination is divided into Level 2 and Level 1, and applicants may take the Level 1 examination after obtaining the Level 2 certification. The Barista Level 2 certification is a course for learning coffee-related theories and basic techniques, while the Barista Level 1 certification aims to cultivate practice-oriented professionals with more specialized knowledge and skills, including improving service skills in cafés and other business sites, understanding espresso machines, and identifying the diversity and characteristics of roasted coffee beans.
Airport Operations Area
- CRS, Computer Reservation System / DCS, Departure Control System Certification Students develop competencies through practice in the airline reservation system, Asiana Sabre, including terminology required for airline reservations, reservation procedures, reservation confirmation, and PNR inquiry. They also acquire overall knowledge and practical skills related to airline ticketing, fare calculation, and airline ticketing duties using airline CRS systems.
Foreign Language Area
- Acquisition of official TOEIC / TOEIC Speaking levels, HSK / HSKK levels, and JPT / JLPT levels
Course Descriptions
01 Image Making
This course helps students develop a refined image required of service professionals by learning attractive facial expressions and greeting methods, proper posture and walking, hair styling, appearance and dress, makeup, and speech. Students acquire presentation methods suitable for the image of service workers and cultivate self-management competencies to become service professionals with self-management and self-leadership through professional color therapy.
02 Introduction to the Hospitality Industry
This course provides students with an overall theoretical background of the hospitality industry and specialized knowledge of the service industry.
03 Global Service Manners
This course helps students internalize the basic service mindset required of service professionals, global manners and etiquette, proper customer service attitudes and manners, customer service communication skills, telephone etiquette, handling customer complaints, exchanging business cards, table manners, business manners, workplace etiquette, and public etiquette.
04 Global English Conversation
This course helps students accept English, the global common language, as a means of communication, understand its basic principles, overcome fears that may arise when communicating in English, and build confidence so that they can recognize themselves as English users.
05 Introduction to Airline Operations
This course helps students acquire theories and knowledge related to career understanding, airline cabin service duties, passenger transportation duties, basic understanding of airports, and aviation terminology across the overall operations of airlines.
06 Aviation Physical Management and Entrepreneurship
Based on anatomical basic theories of proper body alignment, students learn correct posture and physical fitness training. This course strengthens students’ external competitiveness in physical management abilities suitable for performing duties in the employment field, such as improving muscular strength, abdominal strength, grip strength, flexibility, and agility.
07 Customer Behavior Theory
Based on theoretical learning about the psychology and behavior of customers in the airline and tourism service fields, this course cultivates practical competencies in marketing activities and customer service.
08 VR Cabin Safety Practice
This course helps students understand the structure and flight principles of aircraft operated by domestic airlines, learn how to use emergency and security equipment, and become familiar with cabin crew response methods and procedures in various normal and abnormal situations. Through situation-based VR simulations, students cultivate practical competencies as in-flight safety and security personnel.
09 Airline Smart Service
This course is designed to help students understand the changing industrial environment along with the Fourth Industrial Revolution and develop the service competencies of airline cabin crew required by the future society in a new environment. It covers changes in the service environment and cases of technology adoption in the hospitality industry, including tourism, hotels, and airlines; the concepts and theories of smart service; case studies of smart service applications in the hospitality industry; and analysis and prediction of airline smart service cases. In addition, students solve various problems through case studies of customer satisfaction and complaints frequently encountered by cabin crew, thereby realizing customer satisfaction. The course also discusses customer service techniques that can be applied in various industrial service fields in the new service era.
10 Airline English Conversation
This course helps students learn English conversation expressions for smooth communication with foreigners in the aviation and tourism industries. Students study various possible situations, including airline ticket reservations, hotel stays, airport arrivals, and immigration procedures.
11 Service Human Relations Theory
This course approaches human relations between service company employees and customers through scientific methods. At the same time, by using various tools such as transactional analysis, DISC, MBTI, and the Enneagram, students analyze their own personality types and customer types, thereby improving their ability to enhance human relations and realize customer satisfaction.
12 Airline Reservation and Ticketing Practice
For students who have completed the Airline Reservation Practice course, this course helps students acquire overall knowledge and practical skills related to airline ticketing duties. The course includes practice in airfare calculation methods and airline ticket issuance methods, as well as learning the types of airfares.
13 Cabin Service Practice
This course teaches overall service procedures and contents related to cabin service from boarding to disembarkation. Through various role-playing activities and practice, students develop the service mindset and service attitude required of cabin crew.
14 Cabin Practice Chinese
This course teaches Chinese expressions needed for customer service in the cabin in order to strengthen the global communication competencies required of cabin crew in domestic and overseas airlines. With the development of the airline service industry, competition among airlines has intensified, and with the recent increase in Chinese passengers, students learn in-flight service Chinese to provide smooth in-flight service.
15 Air Transportation Industry Theory
This course helps students acquire a comprehensive understanding of transportation and basic knowledge related to the air transportation industry. Students learn basic theories and approaches to the air transportation industry, including the background and contents of international and domestic aviation laws, the characteristics of air transportation, its structure and support systems, and the mechanisms of air transportation industry policies and directions.
16 Airline Food and Beverage Practice
This course teaches food and beverage theory and basic knowledge of meals, wine, cocktails, and other beverages provided by airlines, and improves practical skills through practice.
17 Service Marketing, Airline Service
This course aims to help students develop the ability to respond to the basic understanding of service marketing, situation analysis, positioning, the service marketing mix, and strategic issues in service marketing.
18 Cabin Practice English
This course helps students learn and use various customer service English expressions related to in-flight service so that they can naturally speak English conversation necessary for airline service as flight attendants.
19 Convergence Service Design Practice
This course helps students develop the ability to create and consult on service design in industrial fields.
20 Cabin Announcement
This course helps students understand the positive functions of in-flight announcements that deliver important information related to cabin service, aircraft operation, and safety. Students practice basic skills required of announcers through voice training. In addition, to achieve the high level of in-flight announcements required of prospective flight attendants, students practice Korean and English announcement scripts of major domestic airlines, emergency announcement scripts, foreign airline announcement scripts, and ground staff announcement scripts.
21 Service Communication
This course helps students understand overall communication elements and acquire situation-specific communication skills in order to cultivate communication abilities that are important in the service field.
22 Interview English
This course prepares students for English interviews conducted in open recruitment by domestic airlines. Students develop English interview skills, including the format, procedures, and question types of English interviews, writing resumes and cover letters, and participating in group discussions. Students also learn and practice various expression techniques so that they can communicate their thoughts in English.
23 Airline Interview Practice
This course provides guidance on writing and revising application forms and self-introduction letters for airline interview preparation. Students learn the basic attitudes and etiquette required for interviews and further develop fundamental competencies for airline interviews through interview image making, analysis of interview types, and analysis of previous interview questions.
24 Long-Term Field Practice
To strengthen the job competencies of students majoring in airline service, this course manages credit recognition through placement at practice sites based on student applications, recording of work journals, and evaluations, through agreements with domestic and overseas airports, airline ground operations, and related institutions.
25 Airport Service Practice
This course teaches overall service procedures and contents related to airport service. Through various role-playing activities and practice, students develop the service mindset and service attitude required of ground staff.
26 Capstone Design, Airline Service
As service field professionals, students cultivate creative problem-solving abilities and crisis response abilities by deeply learning the process of predicting and solving problems that they may encounter in the service industry field in advance, in order to develop job competencies.
27 AI Airline Interview Practice
This course provides VR interview training, feedback, and individual guidance using an AI virtual interview program so that students can apply the interview skills developed through airline interview practice. By repeatedly practicing realistic virtual mock interviews, students strengthen their ability to respond to actual interviews.
28 Unmanned Aircraft, Drone, Pilot Training and Entrepreneurship
The unmanned aircraft business is a promising business field in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, growing by 25% each year, and is expected to lead future new occupations along with the airline service industry. This course cultivates safety education personnel for unmanned aircraft to respond to future social demand and provides an entrepreneurship course using ultra-light aircraft systems.
29 Airline Japanese
This course helps students learn basic vocabulary and expressions in Japanese commonly used in the airline service field and build confidence in expressing themselves in basic Japanese. Students also systematically learn basic Japanese vocabulary needed for conversation and writing through practical example sentences, learn idiomatic expressions, and practice applying them in real situations.
