2001

  • Approval was granted for the establishment of the teacher education program for the 2001 academic year, with the Department of Nursing approved to train health teachers.

  • Approval was granted for the establishment of the Graduate School of Education with an admission quota of 40 students.

  • Held the 2nd fall early graduation ceremony of Kwangju Women’s University, with 180 early graduates.

  • Approval was granted for the establishment of special graduate schools: the Graduate School of Industrial Information with an admission quota of 30 students and the Graduate School of Social Welfare with an admission quota of 30 students.

  • The Admissions Support Office was newly established under the Office of Academic Affairs.

  • Held the 2001 Freshman Entrance Ceremony.

  • Signed an exchange and cooperation agreement with the Future Management Research Institute.

  • Held the 1st Commencement Ceremony of Kwangju Women’s University.

  • Selected by the Ministry of Information and Communication as an institution eligible for equipment support for information and communications-related departments.
