2006

  • Approval was granted for the Department of Counseling Psychology to train professional counseling teachers and for the Department of Speech-Language Therapy to train special school teachers.

  • Approval was granted for the master’s degree-linked course for Grade 1 professional counseling teachers at the Graduate School of Education, and the teacher education program was established for the 2006 academic year.

  • Master’s and doctoral degree programs were newly established at the Graduate School.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Shandong University of Arts in China.

  • Signed exchange agreements with Weihai Vocational College, Weihai Changxin Vocational School, and Shandong Weihai Foreign Language Training College in China.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Wendeng Samsung Middle School in China.

  • Selected for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s “2006 Regional-Based Capacity Enhancement Project” and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s “2006 Project-Based Internship.”

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with the Korea National Institute for Special Education.

  • Participated in the 23rd President’s Cup National University and Business Team Archery Tournament Commemorating Olympic Victory.

  • The Department of Physical Therapy was newly established in the health sciences division with an admission quota of 30 students.

  • Held the August 2006 Commencement Ceremony of Kwangju Women’s University.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Shenyang Aerospace University in China.

  • At the 24th Presidential Archery Tournament, Ki Bo-bae placed second at 70m and second at 30m, Kim Su-jeong placed third overall individually, and the team placed first overall.

  • Ki Bo-bae placed second overall individually at the 9th Korea University Archery Open Championship.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Bohai Petroleum Vocational College in China.

  • Signed an industry-academic exchange agreement with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with the Jeonnam Vocational Competency Development Center of the Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled.

  • Signed an exchange agreement with Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in China.

  • At the 40th National Men’s and Women’s Archery Championships by Division, Du Ga-young placed third at 60m.

  • Held the 2006 Freshman Entrance Ceremony.

  • The Department of Speech-Language Therapy was newly established in the natural sciences division.
