Gwangju Women's University's volleyball team has claimed the championship title by winning every match in the National University Volleyball Tournament.

Gwangju Women's University announced on the 3rd that it won the title at the 2026 Korean Air Cup National University Volleyball Tournament held in Goseong, Gyeongnam, by winning every match from the group stage to the semifinals and finals.
 

In the final match held on this day, they also achieved a commanding 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-21, 25-16) against Woosuk University.

Gwangju Women's University head coach Choi Seong-woo received the Best Coach Award, while Kim Min-chae swept the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, Lee So-min the Best Server Award, Kim Min-ju the Best Blocker Award, and Jang Ji-hye the Best Libero Award.

Gwangju Women's University emphasized, "This result once again proved our excellent performance and teamwork," adding that "it served as an opportunity to confirm our status as a powerhouse in university volleyball."
